Argentina defeats Brazil in friendly

Lionel Messi scored on three dazzling runs for his second international hat trick, finishing the season with a record 82 goals for club and country and giving Argentina to a 4-3 win over South American rival Brazil in an exhibition game Saturday.
With Brazil using a mostly young roster ahead of the Olympics, Romulo put the five-time world champions ahead in the 23rd minute. Messi gave Argentina a 2-1 lead with goals in the 31st and 34th on spectacular dashes that beat the defense, but Oscar tied the score in the 56th and Hulk tapped in a corner kick dropped by goalkeeper Sergio Romero in the 72nd.
Argentina came back once again three minutes later when Frederico Fernandez scored off a corner kick by Sergio Aguero, who had just entered the game.
Then in the 84th, Messi picked up the ball at midfield,

A Match Well Worth Stopping for on a Busy Day

This is how far soccer has come in America. On one of those mega sports days in the New York area — we have a lot of them, actually — a match between Argentina and Brazil on Saturday was definitely considered part of the mix.
Even though the match was only a so-called friendly, it put stars like Lionel Messi and Neymar in front of a sellout crowd of 81,994 fans at MetLife Stadium. Messi scored a hat trick for Argentina in a 4-3 victory, and Neymar was a factor on two goals for Brazil.
With all due apologies to great American rivalries, Brazil-Argentina just might be the great sporting competition of the Western Hemisphere, given the five World Cup titles for Brazil and two for Argentina, and a history of broken legs, racial taunts and even hints of a spiked water bottle during one World Cup encounter.

Messi - Best yet to come

Lionel Messi believes he has a lot still to learn but says he never wants to lose his passion for the game and the day he stops enjoying football will be the day he retires.
Lionel Messi: Barcelona star says he will not retire until he stops enjoying the game
Messi already sits among the pantheon of all-time greats but he maintains that his philosophy will always be to try and play in the right manner rather than focus on results.
He is proud to be part of a Barcelona team that shares his vision and, at the age of 24, is looking forward to keeping crowds entertained for many years to come.
"Football is a game. I'm trying to have fun on the pitch, always just to play. That's why I do it. The day I stop having fun is the day I retire," the Argentina superstar told The Times.

Alba & Mata in Olympic squad

Jordi Alba, Juan Mata and Javi Martinez have all been included in the preliminary 22-man Spain squad for the Olympics.
Coach Luis Milla named a strong squad for the London Games on Tuesday, with Athletic Bilbao forward Iker Munian and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea both finding their respective places in the team.
Juan Mata: Chelsea playmaker could play for Spain in the OlympicsBarcelona trio Martin Montoya, Thiago Alcantara and Cristian Tello too will play for Spain, while Chelsea defender Oriol Romeu has been called up as well.
Four players from the list will be dropped by Milla on July 21st.

Can Tiger roar once again at Royal Lytham?

The needle on the gauge has oscillated all season. One week it aims firmly at the point that says "he's back" and the next it veers to an area that suggests "he's not".
Call it the Tigerometre and golf's current barometric conditions mean the indicator shows he has emphatically returned to the "back" phase.

Rodgers wants Suarez deal

Brendan Rodgers hopes to secure a new contract for Luis Suarez after the Liverpool striker was again linked with a move to Juventus.
Suarez joined Liverpool from Ajax in 2011 and his impressive performances during his time at Anfield have seen the Uruguay international regularly linked with other major European clubs.

Luis Suarez: Liverpool want to sort out a new contract for the striker after he was linked with Juventus

The 25-year-old brushed off reports at the end of last season that he could join Barcelona or Real Madrid, while Juventus have been long-term admirers of Suarez.
The latest reports have claimed that the Serie A champions are ready to test the Reds' resolve to hang on to Suarez by making a bid for the forward.
However, Rodgers does not want to lose Suarez after talking to the player     and is hopeful that a new contract can be agreed.

20 Tips for How to Make Money with a Service Business

A year ago, I started a web video production service. In that time, I’ve turned it from an idea in my head into a profitable and quickly-growing business.
Below I’ve compiled what I’ve learned – 20 tips based on my worst mistakes and biggest triumphs. You can learn how to run a successful service business much more quickly than I did by reading on.

How To Connect Your Windows Phone 7 To A Mac Computer

It’s easy to get branded as a Mac fanboy. I’m not. I just happen to love brilliant tech products, which led me to the Mac. It’s also what led me to purchasing one of those new Windows Phones. If you’re reading this article, I guess you did too, or are considering to.
Let me tell you, it’s not the most obvious path to take. Microsoft is not exactly notorious for playing nice with Mac OS X. When I purchased my first Zune, Microsoft seemed blissfully unaware of the existence of other operating systems. The only way to sync that lovely media player was by leaving behind your trusted old Mac and finding a Windows computer to sync with.
Luckily, Microsoft seems to have embraced the future and cross-platform goodness that comes in the wake of it. Working with a Windows Phone from a Windows or Mac homebase still has its differences, differences that do come to show, but Microsoft has done a good job with Mac support this time around.

Better iPhone Audio & Video: Adapters, Microphones And Accessories For Superior Sound [iPhone]

Last week I rounded up a few of the best apps for capturing video and the accessories you might want to consider if you want to get the most out of your iPhone’s video capabilities. Today we’re turning our attention to audio, the achilles heel of any videographer.
It’s a widely regarded belief in the world of moving pictures that bad video can be rescued, edited and cleaned up somewhat, but very little can be done to purify bad audio. Sound quality can make or break your project, and that’s why it’s important to get it right first time.

Facebook proposes more changes to privacy policy

Facebook said on Friday that it intends to make further changes to its privacy policy in order to respond to an audit by the Irish government, but privacy advocates saw the move as an inadequate attempt to quell privacy concerns prior to Facebook's planned initial public offering.

How to “unfriend” a Facebook friend without really unfriending them

Got a Facebook friend who’s bringing you down with all his depressing updates, or a frenemy who you don’t want peeking at your Facebook photo albums? Well, you could always hit the “unfriend” button, but doing so might seem a bit extreme—and hey, what if they find out?

Luckily, there are a couple of ways to keep marginal Facebook pals at arm’s length without cutting them off altogether, starting with…

How to stop Facebook from ID’ing your face in photos

Facebook boasts a sophisticated “facial-recognition” feature that’s capable of putting names to faces in any newly-uploaded photos. Amazing? Yes—but also a tad creepy.
The so-called “Tag Suggestions” feature (which was launched back in June 2011) won’t automatically tag you in a friend’s photo, but it may suggest your name as a tag to your snap-happy Facebook pals.
